How it works

What this does not claim.

The things it would be easy to imply and are not true. Worth reading before you decide whether this is for you.

It does not simulate the real person

When you write a character based on someone in your life, the app plays what you wrote. It has never met them, has no information about them, and has no way of knowing how they would respond to anything.

So this is not a tool for finding out how a conversation will go, and it should not be used to build confidence about a prediction it cannot make. What it offers is your own side, answered back by something you did not script.

This is why the app does not describe itself as practice or rehearsal. Those words promise an accuracy that nothing here can deliver.

It is not therapy

It is entertainment. There is no clinician involved, no treatment, no assessment, and no duty of care beyond pointing at real help when a conversation turns toward harm — which it does, with actual numbers.

If something in your life is heavy enough that you are looking for a tool to carry it, the honest recommendation is a person: a professional, or somebody you trust. This app is not a substitute for either and does not want to be treated as one.

Your conversations are not end-to-end encrypted

They travel over TLS and sit on encrypted disks, like most things. But they are stored as ordinary text in an ordinary database, and there is no application-level key, which means the claim "not even we can read it" would be false and is not made anywhere.

The AI model that writes each reply necessarily reads what you type — that is how a reply gets written. No other user can see your conversations or your characters, and no administrative function in the app can read message content. Those two are true and are the strongest honest version.

It does not pretend to be a person

Characters do not message you first, do not miss you between visits, and are never described as waiting. There are no notifications written in a character’s voice and no streaks framed as an obligation to one.

That is a deliberate omission, not a missing feature. The mechanics that drive engagement in this category are mostly mechanics for making someone feel owed something by software, and they are not built here.

Questions

Does Reimagine predict how a real person would reply?
No. Characters are built from what the user describes; the app has no access to any real person and makes no claim about how they would respond.
Is Reimagine therapy or counselling?
No. It is entertainment. It is not a treatment, not a crisis service, and not a substitute for a professional or a person you trust.
Are conversations end-to-end encrypted?
No. They travel over TLS and sit on encrypted disks, but they are stored as ordinary text and the model writing each reply reads them. No other user can see them, and no admin function in the app can read message content.
